Did I Make A Mistake? Poem by Rob Bishop

Sometimes feelings are hard to hide,
So you might see me frown,
I can’t help but feel sick inside,
Thinking how I’ve let you down.

It’s never easy being strong,
I find some things hard to say,
And when you ask me what is wrong,
I seem to push you away,

In lots of ways we are the same,
When our world is under threat,
We sometimes act a little insane,
And do things we regret.

I kept on trying to work out how,
To help the friend that I once knew,
Rest assured I realize now,
Listening is all that I can do.
