Did You Remember Poem by Randy McClave

Did You Remember

Hey, tell me did you remember to pray
And did you talk for me today,
Did you remember to do a good deed
Maybe a hungry person you did feed.
Did you put on my shoes
Because you alone, did choose,
Or did you put on another pair
Because you don't care.
Did you help the needy and the poor
Because I had done it many times before,
Did you happily do what I did
Or did you just roll your eyelid.
Did you donate or give your last dime
Knowing that it's not a crime,
Or instead did you hideaway your dollar
So, your family wouldn't scream and holler.
Did you keep every promise that you made
Or from them have you strayed,
Or did you just conveniently forget
Which onto me, you are afraid to admit.
Did you break any promises or tell any lies
Just to receive pity or maybe a prize,
And did you happen to judge
So, someone's name and reputation you could smudge.
Did you ever read my book
Or did you even give it a real good look,
I said and done and preached what I wanted you to do
Remember, I died for you.
Did you remember unto others to always be good
Just because I told you, and you should,
Remember for your soul I paid the price
I love you........... Jesus Christ.
