Did You See What Jesus Did?
The Poet expresses his amazement over the fact that Jesus, the Holy One of God actually touched the man with leprosy who was considered by the crowd to be unclean. The poet then reflects upon his own desire to be healed and cleansed from the leprosy of his sin
WOW! Did you see what Jesus did?
He touched the leper from whom they hid.
The Holy One touched this unclean soul
and took away his shame making him whole.
Dear Lord Jesus please reach out and touch me
Come down and heal me from my leprosy
For dear Lord I would love so very much
to know and to feel your cleansing touch
Scripture:A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, ‘Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.'
Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing, ' he said. ‘Be clean! ' Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. (Matthew 8: 1-4)
