Different Fate For Different Folks Poem by Frank Adie

Different Fate For Different Folks

Your fingerprint is different from mine;
We are different pages in the same book;
Nature hands people different glasses of wine;
You will understand that if you care to look.

The grace to succeed is not open to all;
Some work hard, but hardly move up;
Others do little, but always stand tall;
To the victims of fate, keep your head up.

What you can't change you must not bemoan;
We must sometimes accept to overcome;
The glory of life is not in a groan;
Strive to smile and be happy all the time.
