Different But The Same Poem by Frank Adie

Different But The Same

Rating: 5.0

You have all imbibed the nick culture,
Don't deceive us with your nomenclature;
PDP and APC have got no difference,
None of them is our preference.

You have all drank from the pool of corruption,
And have all contributed in ruining our nation.
Your fight against corruption is a sham,
Your change slogan a political flimflam.

Our treasury has been maliciously pillaged,
And our tomorrow sadly mortgaged.
All thanks to these political bandits,
Who glory in what equity prohibits.

Injustice thrive only temporarily,
Victory of good over evil will come definitely.
You have sown the seed of your own destruction,
By igniting the fire of an impending revolution.

Awesome quatrain embellished in poetic rhyme and rhythm. A witty reflection on Nigerian democratic mobs, co-conspirators in joint criminal enterprises. An insightful patriotic write - brave utterances set aside for honest contemplation. A very powerful indictment. Thanks my brother, may Almighty God elevate your poetic ideas.
