Different Things Poem by soren Barrett

Different Things

Passion a firework explosion
So quickly to black it burns out
Falling ashes left in its corrosion
Leaves new sky to scout

We don't make love, we feel it
It's not hot but comfortable and warm
From a spark like a fire first lit
It grows slowly on the horizon like a storm

Love and passion may go hand in hand
Either can open the door
Neither we understand
One itching skin, the other living core
