Difficult Time. Poem by SY Wong ...

Difficult Time.

Let the bag of beans sprout.
Let the months old pumpkin be eaten.
Do not forget the sweet potatoes you have kept in the cave long long time ago, you did well to save up.
Do you remember you still have a few bags of rice to make porridge with and those bags of flour for making bread?
You did not forget the few bags of sugar you bought some time ago and the breakfast tea leaf you love so much, did you?
The seeds of various beans sitting dormant.
There are still some delicacies in the fridge which taste damn nice
The packets of meat and seafood that you recently stocked up
The round cabbages
The long cabbages
The desiccated coconut and dried prawns
oh yes the sweet palm sugar and butter
oh yes the, the the things you have forgotten!

Sit back now and reminiscence
Yes, you still need to eat and not waste
It won't be long
It won't be long
The world will not be at a stand still
Life will be as usual, again.
