Dilemma Poem by Sophia White

Dilemma

Here, in my little box,
I feel I am too big.

But, if I were to see the world,
I fear I’d be too small.

Where then can I go,
I who belong Nowhere?

How can I, who have outgrown my Puddle,
Move out and not get lost in the Sea?

This is wonderful, Sophia. What you've written about what so many of us experience during our youth. Some feel as though they've learned everything they can where they are and tire of their surroundings. Of course, the thought of jumping into a bigger 'pond' is more daunting, terrifying perhaps. The result is that many of us end up treading water, drowning in boredom. This poem, though simple and short, does not lack in power or meaning. Nicely done.
