Dill City Oil Field Poem by John McCornack

Dill City Oil Field

In the that countryside from Elk City to Dill City
An area filled with rugged men continue the search
For that wonderful energy that keeps us all warm
Rigs keep on going and never stop even for Church

The big rigs and people are a symbol of Oklahoma
They stand out as beacons against the western skies
Working in temps from above 100F and to below 0F
Let's hope the spirit of these rugged men never dies
