Dinner With Julie Poem by Paul Buttigieg

Dinner With Julie

It's a lovable view across our table
Your pretty face does my love enable
A glass of wine from a famous vat
Conversation about us is where it's at
Your eyes sparkle more from a table light
And the incense aroma compliments the night
The background music plays our song
Our eyes meet but not for long
Before an unknowing waiter breaks our trance
We ordered food then head off to dance
The night accumulates all of my dreams
Yes dinner with my Julie is more than it seems
