Dirge Of A Spirit Lost In Woods Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Dirge Of A Spirit Lost In Woods

In wombs of three woods
United though separate
Moved the Lamenting Spirit
Of laments walking full
He half-spoke half-sang
Sad
Rattled
The skeleton bones as he
Moved and trod
A rare inhabitant in that environment

Though it was night

And
Bended were the pregnant bows
And moved half-slanting to the floor.

Loud moans, heart-rending cries occasional

Made the airs silent weep
