Discovery Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Discovery

Rating: 4.5

The craze for the new and ever new
Keeps the human eye in readiness ever
And warms up the mind of the devotee
In his steadfast pursuit of beauty.
The stars twinkle, as they can't but wonder
At their own beauty clad in mystery
And the moon blushes at the gaze of the sky
And seeks to hide amid clouds languorous
The stars dazzle and moonlight enchant the devotee
And stirs him on in high romance august
Every night the eye discovers something new
In the star-dazzle and in the moon waxing or waning
Looking around even the accustomed eye and the mind
Drink in greedily the unfolding bloom excitedly
Discovering each time something hitherto unrevealed
The ever widening eye in wonder is the beauty of beauties.
