Dismay; Poem by Dwayne Bailey

Dismay;

How daunting seems the task,
to rebuild my life at forty four;
When the woman I loved with all of me,
broke my heart and slammed the door.
Am I really that worthless,
unfit for her to love?
Am I such a lowly person,
that She’s so much above?

She has found a new love in her life,
perfect to her he seems;
While I lay alone in my bed,
alone with but my dreams.
She rips me every chance she gets,
unfit parent is what I am called.
She is pregnant with her new loves kid,
all I can do is bawl.

I have tried to start by dating again,
but lady luck hasn’t smiled my way;
My confidence seems much lower,
I’m at a loss for words to say.
I’m finding it hard to stay positive,
with the passing of each day;
Am I meant to be alone,
to me this brings dismay.
