Disney Lies Poem by Lidia Running

Disney Lies

Cinderella; Snow White
A Faery Princess too
How is it possible?
What did you do?
Your love is so simple
Your love is so true
All you want is him
And all he wants is you

Life isn't like this
There is no easy love
It's all sitting on the front steps
Praying to the stars above
Because it was he that left you
Crying in the cold
Your pretty face a mask of pain
Watching ''love'' unfold

Days will turn to months and years
You'll think of love you had
Time will change your views of things
You'll ask, ''Was it really bad? ''
In the light you'll rationalize
But in the night you dream
Waking up with teary eyes
As you're stifling a scream

Someday he'll come back to you
And ask you for your hand
But true love has left you long ago
Like castles turn to sand
You will look into his eyes
And love is what you'll see
But there is no mirror image
And the word ''no'' sets you free

Hi, I really liked the simile's you used in this poem! Especially 'like castles turn to sand'. I also really liked the way you described things I can never really find a good way to describe like 'Your pretty face a mask of pain.' and 'praying to the stars above' I REALLY like this poem! ! ! ! ! =)
