Disparity Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Why do we call it disparity?
Do we fail and lack clarity?
Or merely feel it is charity,
what is the answer for parity?

We never stooped below and sank,
some smarts get together and call it think tank,
we have divergent views and live in opposite bank
never try to find out why are we so frank?

Alas! God had some ideas coming very late,
but we recreated it and added hate
still not think it improper and appreciate,
human values so down and depreciated,

Can we not remain one and swim?
blame no one and just pray only HIM
do our duty and not miss the object prime,
think not different and consider it crime,

Are we not fully dedicated yet?
Still we claim ourselves a disciplined lot?
Cool not down when it is too hot,
think so old and continue to rot,

Has God created different world for us?
Why do we think then so thus?
Are we just slaves in our own home?
And we pray none but dead in dome

when you march and think of none?
Make best efforts to see work well done,
Diamonds may come but unfinished from mines
we polish it and shape on different lines?

Do we breathe separate fresh air?
Do stars appear always in pair?
Why do we fight and always dare?
Do we deny HIM and not just care?

Together we fight rank along tank,
don’t see ground, river or bank,
Shed blood for honor and holy cause,
why then there be any deliberate pause?

Are we not confusing and defining?
Drawing it wrong and only redefining,
Still time is left there not to confine,
it stands for those who combat and combine,




Why are we blind and bow just down?
Cause one and still face frown,
is the war worthy just only for crown?
Let we not put ourselves so down,

May I make attempt for humble submission?
Let the guilty not have any easy admission,
what we think right is purely a mission?
Whether by right, duty or with permission,

There resides in you, pious and humble soul,
why then we smell or feel any foul?
Sit we together and sometimes eat also same,
then why do we try to create big name?

Tell and remind those who think otherwise?
will lead nowhere and steps too not wise,
will further let you down when have a fall,
stature may be lost even with name very tall

As you roll on and time may pass,
world may know what is your class,
however high your goal just may be,
Still cast a doubt and higher price will be,

Our goal is not as it seems on face
together we may rise and fall in race
so is the right time to shed the differences,
no different words and no more wrong inferences
