Do Even More Poem by Garrett Westcott

Do Even More

A storm washed out the bridges
The homeless slogged off into the haze
Many of them were barefoot
Some of their heads were grey
I saw them on the sidewalks
And I felt it wasn't right
That people should live so desperate
I'll say a prayer for them tonight
It's good to pray for the homeless
But God has called us to do even more
He calls us to sell our possessions
And give the money to the poor
