Do I? - Poem by jjlJaoisio jjdjdj

Please tell me dear
As dawn draws near
What am I scared of?
What do I fear?

Is it fear of love?
Is it fear of hate?
The glorious garden?
The conniving snake?

Am I scared to stay?
Am I scared to go?
Fear of pain
Of taking the blow

To leave you is hard
Commitment is harder
Your heart is the clay
And I am the potter

When our hands first held
When our lips first kissed
Life of just those moments
Is my only wish

As the tides turn
As the moon wanes
Just like time
Life has to change

The moment has come
To pick and choose
Will I win?
Will I lose?

The games we play
The wars we fight
There’s no illusion
No hand of slight

I must succeed
I must prevail
Am I too late?
Has your ship set sail?

Through much time and thought
A conclusion I’ve come to
I’ve learned and believed
I know I love you
