Do Not Take The Risks... Poem by RIC BASTASA

Do Not Take The Risks...

in life, since you are here, anyway,
as you said, you did not choose to,
you should, you must, dance the
dance of life, and not death.

choose the path wisely where there
are no snakes, no vipers, no tigers,
choose the path of the wise flowers,
the busy bees, the singing larks,

in life, since you are here anyway,
make the best of hay, or hey or simply
just have fun, make the most of what
the moment could offer you,

do not dance the dance of a hundred
deaths, do not play with fire, do not
walk on a tight rope, do not play the
Russian roulette, or be with the wildest
west. Keep the calm of a happy soul
inside a healthy body.

do not take the risks of dancing with
those who wished to be dead,
do not wish upon death but always
as much often, wish upon the stars.
