Do You Poem by Francis Duggan

Do You

Do you feel confused in your thinking of late your thoughts do not seem clear
The past has become a blurred vision and the future you only do fear
With you there's little wrong mentally you don't hear voices in your head
But than go to the theatre or parties you'd prefer to sit at home instead
And lay half awake on the sofa in a lonely sort of a mood
And over your too many worries till bedtime you silently brood
You are not alone on how you live life does have it's crosses to bear
There are millions of people like you in the bigger world out there
Who see little hope in the future and do not wish to dwell on the past
But those moods are just part of living and those moods do not seem to last
You do not look forward to the future and the past you see as forever gone
And only the will to keep living is what helps you to keep keeping on
We all are burdened with our crosses and our smallest worries don't seem small
And it is not a crime to feel depressed we are only human after all.
