Do You Feel It? Poem by Kristen Brewster

Do You Feel It?

Do you feel it?
Pulsing through your skin and bones
the energy that burns in the wires you are made of
radiating through your eyes.
Do you feel it?
The power of the many wars you have fought
that haunt you in your dreams
and taught you to become someone you truly are.
Do you feel it?
The legacy of mood tight words
vibrating and pounding of drums
that follow the wind through time.
Do you feel it?
The pain that never leaves
a flesh wound on the inside
infecting and corrupting your whole meaning.
Do you feel it?
The cold, harsh, muddle of no cure
your claws reach out in hope of breaking flesh
the savage thirst that you are.
Do you feel it?
The mellow symphony that breaks through
wrapping around you
a safe haven and turning point.
Do you feel it?

I like your second to last line 'A safe haven and a turning point'. Finding somewhere safe is important for everyone. Another well written piece. I'm glad I found it.
