As humans, we each have an ego, and our soul,
We must try to balance them, they have,
Almost opposite roles.
The soul looks at ourselves, inside, the ego,
Always looking to compete with others,
During this life's ride.
The soul, brings us knowledge, always,
Searching for wisdom, is eternal, while causing,
Healing in many ways,
The Ego seeks outward recognition, competition,
And is mortal, when we die, our ego will fade.
The soul seeks real love, true feelings,
Peace in our mind.
The ego is searching for lust, looking away,
At others, all of the time.
The soul seeks to help and serve others,
Along our way.
The ego, can hurt and destroy others on any day.
