Under the light blue morning sky,
in the wood's, I can pick out the oak trees,
Their leaves, brown, always last to fall,
As I turn my neck, two deer walk by.
The new grass, natures carpet, beautiful green,
Looking over the rails, of my back deck,
A beautiful nature scene, my ideas I brought to life,
Over the years, I lost my siblings, parents, and wife,
During long hard - working hours, I dreamed,
Of retiring, to happy days, I had a plan to travel,
Across the USA, in my dreams, A couple of houses,
Then to explore, a new RV. Everything paid,
No credit cards, or any loans, it's a beautiful,
Saturday morning, I'm living all alone, no one,
To share with, or call on the telephone.
It's hard to see, wiping tears off my face,
Like a lost puppy, they follow me to every place,
As I ride on planet earth, around in space,
The only real dream, for now, I have, waiting for God,
To call me home, from this life, in the human race.

P2 Beauty in nature, cannot make up for the lost siblings parents a wife who have passed on, leaving no close loved ones, to share perceived beauty with. To travel with.
I wrote the poem 'Beauty In Nature: Winter Frozen Still Timeless', inspired by the poem 'No One Can Plan A Perfect Life', by the poet The Original Tom Maxwell and dedicated to the poet The Original Tom Maxwell.
P3 Outliving everyone else imposes the cost of lost relationships, lost retirement travel dreams saved and paid for, and the weight of the possibilities in roads not taken.
I wrote the poem 'Life Experiences Not Lived Taken', inspired by the poem 'No One Can Plan A Perfect Life', by the poet The Original Tom Maxwell and dedicated to the poet The Original Tom Maxwell.
Profound melancholy feeling is the mood of the poem. Very emotionally charged. Choice of words, rhyming scheme are above par. Good poetry. Full score.
I share your feeling in this poignant poem, they are similar to mine, but we have to make the most from the cards we have been felt with. I have no wish, or desire to shuffle off my mortal coil as Shakespeare would say. Leave footprints in this world that others may follow.

P1 There is an eye for detail, in a love and appreciation of nature in the opening lines of this poem, which still cannot overcome the loneliness, the lost dreams, planned for retirement shattered.
