Do you remember
the walks we use to take
in the park by the river

How we always somehow
managed to be there
when the sun just begun
to settle down
and the gentleness
of the breeze felt amazing
against our hot bodies
from the heat of the day

We always held hands
and just the feel
of your hand entwined
with mine
was the most precious thing

We could not stop smiling
and happiness radiated
from our hearts
filled with so much love
for each other

We walked slow
in a flowing motion
admiring the beauty
in front of us

Sometimes we stopped
just to look at the flowers
and smell them
admire their beauty
or touch the tree trunks
and give them a hug
and we giggled
at the sight
Glorious

We sat at the edge of the river
in an embrace
teary at times
from the overwhelming feeling
of gratitude
for just being
breathing
and living this moment

The most precious times
of our life
