Do You Remember That Bench? Poem by Satyam Tiwari

Do You Remember That Bench?

Rating: 5.0

Do you remember that bench on which we use to sit together?
That bench on which we promised that we will part away never
That tree beneath whose shade's we talked for hours
Sometimes as a token of love, I gave you flowers
You know I still use to visit that place,
where I use to look into your eyes with grace
Now neither you are with me nor empty is that space
During the diurnal day, some lovebirds sit there and they embrace
They make the same promise which we have made together
I always fear what will be their fate?
Will they be separated like us forever?
Or one of them will be left in the lurch Sometimes I think why I still visit that same place?
Where your memories are spread everywhere like the fragrance
Sometimes I carry those memories with me back to my home
I open them only when I am all alone
Early in the dawn when I pass through the same way
I lay your memories there on the same bench near the bay
Do you remember that bench on which we use to sit together?
That bench on which we promised that we will part away never.
