Do You Want To Snuggle Or Be Right? - Poem by Alice Perfect
Prioritize your desires in life.
Do you want warm snuggles
or just TO BE RIGHT?
They never come hand in hand
you get one OR the other
why choose the rightness knife?
Have you forgotten woven
warm bodies under the covers,
warm hands, cold toes,
eskimo kisses on the nose,
hair in my face, whisker burns,
unshaven legs and chins
and unquantified sins
If you have something,
in the kitchen,
to make sure I hear really well,
and I'll give you
my cold back and another chance
Poet's Notes about The Poem
don't insist on being right
who wants to snuggle with that?
let others be right all the time
and get lots more snuggling done
