Dogma Poem by Miranda Redden

Dogma

If hell were not real
and if heaven did not exist
if there is no afterlife...

What is there to live for?
but the NOW?

And I look at myself
And I ask myself

'Am I truly living for the now? '

Am I doing what I really want to do?
Am I with the people I want to be with?

Or am I acting under a different set of doctrines?
No longer packaged as religion but common sense?
Whose sense?
Who said it has to be this way?

Then I submit to you, Dearest One....
LOGIC has already become a GOD
