1. A true householder lends support to his parents, wife and
offspring;
the three virtuous orders to tread in good track.
2. To the abandoned, the indigent and the diseased orphans,
a true householder must give his prop.
3. The prime charity of a householder is to protect the ancestors,
the deity, the guests, kin and self in the fivefold land.
4. His descendents will never live in ‘want, '
if he earns fearing vice, shares and eats with neighbours in life.
5. If domestic life bears love and virtue,
that is the grace and gains of one's life.
6. If one's domestic life is based on code of ethics
what gain can he get from other modes of virtue?
7. A householder whose life is in its true nature
stands foremost of all who strive their best in life.
8. One's life that guides others righteously and never falls from
virtue,
shines brighter than the life of ascetics.
9. The domestic life is that which bears virtue.
It is better if others do not reproach it.
10.One who lives a life of honour in this world
shall be placed among the gods in heaven.
