Don Navigator Metamorphosis Poem by Tosin Abegunde

Don Navigator Metamorphosis

Many a time, I envisage the future
Filled with our pains and torture
And I faint for posterity in awe
Beholding the inherent torture.

On this tragedic feat I stumble,
People Deceiving People
Under the canopy of deceit
Clawed with grief and cheat

Can change come in this notion
By Aggrieved People's Coalition?
With brooms-bunch of torment
Journeying for a rain so torrent.

On this contemptous bridge!
Either a fundamentalist or stooge
One must strive hard to storm
Who then should come?

'Continuity! ' I vehemently preach,
To see beyond the desired reach
Even though merit is devoided
Truth must still not be avoided.

The hanging, horror and culture,
Are all relics of your first structure
Old wine to come in a new bottle?
Never to come in this pacific castle

Though weak, but potent in policy
Sealed with extern'l and the bossy
To break our peace into pieces,
So name the house with displease.

As a resolute I now punder,
On these stubborn wonder
And I so resigned to fate by force
That i need to metamorphose.
