Don'T Poem by Alfred Ramos

Don'T

Don’t serve me words in a paper cup
Don’t treat me like a puppet that can’t stand up
Tell me straight
What you love, what you hate
Don’t paint me a picture you can’t frame
No scented candles that can’t hold a flame
Tell me true
What’s black, what’s blue
Don’t tell me secrets you can’t keep
Don’t wake me from my dreams as I sleep
Tell me no lies
No swollen eyes, no desperate cries
Don’t make this situation more than it is
Don’t turn this into a pop quiz
Tell me the facts
No silent attacks, no talking behind our backs
Don’t play with my emotions
Unless you have some magic potions
Make me believe
No tricks up your sleeve, I’m not that naïve
Don’t dangle a carrot in front of my face
Or you’ll lose something you can’t replace

I love this poem! It is so enthralling to read. I feel like this sometimes, you want a person to tell you everything, even when the everything might be so bad, you end up losing someone or something you really loved. Something that cant be replaced. Fantastic :)
