Don'T Copy That One Poem by Alessandra Liverani

Don'T Copy That One

Rating: 3.5

Let's face it, we are people
But we're very much like sheep
We often stick to fashions
We can do it in our sleep

What we wore a decade ago
May now seem a big mistake
It doesn't really matter
It won't cause a big heartache

But the fashion which is smoking
That's a different one altogether
Once it gets you in its clutches
It keeps you through all weather

The decades come, the decades go
You're still slavishly following it
You hope one day that you'll break free
But its hold has not released one bit

So when some kind person asks you
Here, why don't you try one of these
Politely refuse their offer
What's not in fashion is a wheeze
