Don't Even Think About It Poem by Kinyua Karanja

Don't Even Think About It

Rating: 4.5

We had meet not twice nor thrice
But many times; most in work place
Just a simple greetings and a gesture
Then we would walk past each other
As soon as we had meet; no feeling
When she called me over for a glass
I thought she was in to it and willing
So it's you again eh? Just two of us
We sipped water together; killing time
Just slowly as they always say at home
No hurry in Africa; it's all by chance
When we got carried away by the mood
One could tell by the look on her face
She fell somewhere in between red
and dizzy while I was going full blue
I think I should be leaving now
I know you can transnight, can't you?
It has started raining, you know
The banter was becoming more loose
It's wet and slippery you can't leave
You know, what's good for the goose...
You can stay in here spend the night
If you don't mind, what do you say?
In that case, I'm in, you are right
No, it is not love and by the way
Don't even think about it I mean
It's just one night stand
A million nights in one and no more
She was clear and I understand
But I won't mind to see her once more.
