Old Is Gold - Poem by Kinyua Karanja

Let no melancholia rob your joy
For life a thing to play a toy
Aging do lure like decoy
Resist remorse as aging a deity fiat
Young age you can't fly at
Though feared, old is gold
Many wish and struggle to hold
But very few to attain a fold
Divine given and never sold
A path and road less traveled
For these who travel never reverse
A labeled book in verse
It's a journey to infinity
A gradual process to eternity
A cycle that only God knows

Topic(s) of this poem: age, life
