Don'T Hurt Me Poem by Brigitt Rodriguez

Don'T Hurt Me

You hurt me.
All that is left are past scars
Memories of how you used me

You hurt me.
I remember feeling like I was drowning
And just how easy it was for you to abuse me

You hurt me.
It was the trust you killed
Now my wall has been raised

You hurt me.
I see you trying to worm your way back in
No matter what I say, you remain unphased

You hurt me.
My will is weakening
And I would love nothing more than to just give in

You hurt me.
For you things may be different
But I won’t forget and you are not forgiven

You hurt me.
I see now that you will soon get your way
I hate how you always know just what to say

Don’t hurt me.
