Don't Ignore Me - Poem by Molly Dorhn

Don’t ignore me,
Am I even really here,
Do you see,
Can you even hear,

I try to scream,
But nothing comes out,
Is this just a dream,
I think I’ll sit and pout,

Haven’t you heard,
I’m more than a nobody,
I’m a wounded bird,
Do you hear me anybody,

I see you talking,
You don’t hear me,
You can just keep on walking,
What will it take for you to see,

Do you even love me,
Don’t you even recognize my face,
I just want you to see,
I’m getting bored with this chase,

We keep going round and round,
And we never quit,
We fall and hit the ground,
I’m so done with this shit,

You don’t know me,
I’m crazy as hell,
You don’t want to see,
Without you I’ve been well,

It’s time,
To spread my wings and fly,
Things changed on a dime,
You’ll never see me cry,

I told you once before,
I don’t want to live this lie,
I’m going to dance on the shore,
Because it’s time to say good-bye.
