Don'T Need You Poem by Ashley Howell

Don'T Need You

Rating: 2.8

Thought I couldn’t breathe
Without you here
Thought I couldn’t see
Without you near
Thought I wouldn’t last
If I wasn’t with you
But now I understand
I was being a fool
You lied through the cracks in yo teeth
And Me, I was stupid enough to believe
That I could change a pimp into a man
And that I could put my life in your hand
I always wanted to be with you
Always thought you were true
Thought if I looked into the light
It would make our life alright
But then I figured something out
Something It took too long to see
Bruh I don’t need you walking around
Trying to validate me
