Don'T Tell Me... Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

Don'T Tell Me...

Don't tell me that you love me,
Don't tell me it's not over.
Don't tell me you will never let me go,
Don't tell me.... No, don’t tell me.

Don't tell me you won't sign the papers,
Don't tell me I am stuck with you.
Don't tell me I am your wife, forever,
Don't.... Just Don't.

We have been through this,
But this time is different.
I won't cave, thinking I'll try one more time.
I've packed your things, and your ring.

They will be there within a week,
Yes, it was time.
Do not move here, do not come here.
I do not want you here.

You are not going to change my mind,
Now or later.
I am through... It is over....
Don't tell me, that you will be here next week Tuesday at Two.

Not this time.
It won't work.
It's over.
Good-bye.
