Don'T Tempt Me Poem by moon batchelder

Don'T Tempt Me

dont tempt me with your mind.
obscur and pointless as it is.
what does it mean?
why would i care what books you've read
what plays you've seen?
will it make me shudder more,
when our juices start to flow?
or are you testing me to see if we're
compatible?
come, bring your body nearer.
let the fire in you decide.
it's not your mind i want to kiss,
not your heart i would caress.
come let our bodies whisper murmurs
into the orchid scented night.
or why draw near at all, if not for this?

dont waste my precious time discussing
vague philosophies.
what does it mean?
why would i care what kirkegaard would say
or kant?
will it make your pleasure greater
as my hand ascends your thigh,
to explore your passion's caverns,
will it trigger some reply?
come, let our lips commune at once.
what need have they of words?
it's not your voice i long to hear
but your silent screams.
come let us writhe in lust's abyss
surrendering pretense.
impress me with your flesh and blood
not some dead man's words.
or why draw near at all if not for this?
