Don'T You See What Happens When Night Comes? Poem by Summer Hovik

Don'T You See What Happens When Night Comes?

Do you see what happens when night comes?
The sky darkens,
The rain pours.
The wind blows,
The cold takes over.

Do you see what happens when night comes?
Hearts are torn our,
Tears fall.
Wounds are ripped open,
Screams aren't heard.

Do you see what happens when night comes?
Wrists are slit,
Blood drips.
Shots are fired,
Lives are taken.

Don't you see what happens when night comes?
