Done Deal Poem by Alfred Ramos

Done Deal

Rating: 2.5

The day is over
But I’m still not over you
Pain pierces my heart through and through
The darkness rushes in
Like a mortal sin
I guess it just will never be
It’s something you can’t see
The day is done
But I still want to be the one
Your shadow overtakes mine
It’s where you draw the line
I guess there’s no guarantee
Love can drown in an angry sea
The night has taken cover
I still want to be your lover
Loneliness caress me one more time
But you won’t spend a single dime
To make it last an eternity
No happy ending for you and me
