Don't Blame Me, Blame My Father Poem by Tony Cemaluk

Don't Blame Me, Blame My Father

Rating: ★5.0

I was born in 1968
But I wedded in 1960
Don't arrest me, officer
Blame my father, he vomited me!

Mama opened the album
She saw two grooms in 1960
One, Chief Malukwuo in black suit
One, Tony still in heaven, waiting ticket!

Mere request turned custody
To meeting drama
Then I remembered the little him with me
I reclined, restored him — no meeting
And no one knows. Or will ever know.
We are one. Me and Him.

Sorry. I don't understand this poem. Maybe a poet's note would have helped.
