Don't Care... Poem by Bryan Taplits

Don't Care...

I saw the gleaming gloaming
and noted in its sphere
The person that was there and fair
I wanted to be here.
No longer would I be alone
No longer dreams my friends
This woman was the one
of which I dreamed-
And she was just around that bend.
The journey's travel that I took
Though miles and some years
Was not the travail I thought it was
So long as you were there.
Oh, yes. It was illogical
Impossible and untrue,
But the place I see-has you and me,
Immortalized-
Where I met you.
Don't care if you are right
Don't care if you are wrong,
Just care that you are near to me-
and not away too long.
