Perfect In The Way She Is Poem by Bryan Taplits

Perfect In The Way She Is

Esteemed and stately
A woman to gladly fete
If only she wouldn't change-
Oh, I think its too late.
The honors she eschews
The reverence to which she aspires-
Both comes second place
to the sorrows she inspires.
Second place, she intones,
is ever for those
not as well,
So she seeks first place always-
In the covens
in which she dwells.
