Don't Swallow Me Poem by Sue Sure

Don't Swallow Me

Don't SWALLOW me
I will taste bitter and burn the edges of your tongue
My outsides sweet,
my innards deliver,
Cut with thick viscosity on what might not be said,
what might not be done.
I am too large to consume
And too vacant to ingest,
no nutrients, no supplements,
just endlessness and shallow regrets.
