Doomed Days Poem by Khaleeq Ahmad

Doomed Days

Bleeding streets, blazing youths,
Attacking cops, destroying goons,

Why are we so doomed?
The comfortable politicians, sitting in cosy drawing-rooms
Passing convenient remarks on our glooms,
Where is the humanity, where's that sympathy?
Where is the religion, where has gone that empathy?
Let's be humane, let's be humane.
