Down not up

On the wall
-sit two knobs
-each is marked:
- "Up" - "Down"

I see her standing
-she is there
-in waiting
-and has pushed
-both the knobs.

It can be for one cause
-either of craze or; unaware! ?

She has come from far
- (a village, small town,
-in China…)

Feels like fish on the sand
-blind is to the world
-where she lives;
-is drowned!

In a way is care-less
-to values of others.

Comes the car in the wall
-to take us…going up…

Down we go
-she and I…

Time is lost
-partly mine!

I cannot say a word
-to Chinese who knows not
-language, way of life…

Bit my lip with patience
-could I do something else?
