Down The Road Poem by Wangchat konyak

Down The Road

The trees that once stood tall and huge
No longer stand on its root.
The park once admired and flattered
No longer lures the onlookers.
The road that once busily crowded.
Has become lonely, quiet and somber.
The summer that was lusty and wild
Has turned cold, pale and crunchy.
The birds in the woods remain silent
And the sky is no longer blue and bright.
It is only me and the misty night
Sitting beneath the twinkling stars.
What was robust and alluring
Has in turn vanished into the thin air.
Alas, the night too has drifted away,
Leaving me alone to trace its shadow.
