Dragon Fire Poem by angel lockheart

Dragon Fire

Rating: 2.3

You’re like an infection inside of me,
Something to consume my entire being,
Take control and capsize me,
Make my eyes go foggy at your thought,
Remembering the times we spent,
You in your favorite blue jeans,
Me in a summer dress,
Dancing to the beat of our hearts,
Always in tune, always in rhythm,
Our feet whispering through the night grass,
Making me shiver, making me tremble,
Singing to the wind,
Our voices snatched away,
Carried to the mountain tops,
Of a far away land,
Rebounding back to us,
A new song, a new dance,
Keeping me warm, being my heat,
You hold me close, our arms enfolding,
Drawing each near,
As close as this world will ever dare,
Knowing that if we get closer,
There’s no way we won’t go off,
Flying off into heaven,
The Angels keeping us save,
Dancing back to earth,
Sighing in contentment,
Sitting against a tree,
The rough bark against your back,
Your scorching chest against mine,
Our fingers traveling a road,
Never traveled before, taking a chance,
Making a promise, hoping for the best,
Tracing the contours, learning each inch,
Outlining my ear, drawing my neck,
Sketching my face, making me laugh,
Tickling my sides, until I cry, mercy, no more,
& then all laughing is quieted, the sound is as death,
We landed together on the grass, once more,
Your body on top of mine making me warm,
The wind rustles our hair, our eyes adoring each other,
The cool impish grass making me quiver and shudder,
You try to get closer, nuzzling me neck, dropping a kiss,
Knowing that you’re my heart, my heat, my life,
But if only you knew what your movements did,
My skin so sensitive, my heart so yours,
My body overreacting, to each of your caresses,
My breathing hitched, my heart running,
But you don’t even guess, your contacts so little,
A stroke here, a kiss there, a butterfly landing on my ear,
They shouldn’t affect me like this, but they do,
My body a quivering ball of heat that you don’t seem to feel,
If only you knew where my mind had wandered,
Set forth by your touches, your glances, your movements,
Unable to keep it from roaming the wrong path,
Until the only images that fill my head,
Are heated moments of you and me,
& a fantasy they shall remain, because you can’t see,
What your being near does to me,
My body on fire, my heart a live beat,
That can’t be controlled by me, only you,
Can stop it from going all haywire like this,
But you don’t see it,
Until after some caresses, some nibbles, some licks,
You finally look into my molten eyes,
And you freeze as you see, the fire inside,
And I turn my head away ashamed,
That my body reacts so much to your sw33t game,
Silent tears trickling down my face, as I struggle to get up,
Knowing its over, knowing you’re done,
With me and my world, I’m not who you thought,
But my struggles are caught, my wrists locked in one hand,
My legs controled by one of your thighs,
So I’ll see the matching dragon fire reflected from within,
That you kept masked so I wouldn’t see,
And wouldn’t get scared by how my touch affected thee,
A look of wonder crosses my face,
As you bend your head to kiss my salty red lips,
Trembling with the effort of control,
But your mouth demands that I let go,
And as the dragon fire burns and consumes,
We don’t hide our reactions, & it’s enough to combust,
Flying out of our skin,
Souring high in the sky,
Dancing a ballet, as old as time.
