Drawing Me Poem by Bull Hawking

Drawing Me

Rating: 5.0

My canvasses are drawing me
with damaged fingers
painting me alone out in your sea
I fight with tubes and brushes
making a full pallette of you
trying to land us
On some tanned island sand
to shipwreck us away
From prying hands
To wrap us in the warp of palms
mine on yours....yours on me
We run like wild things
through the brush
To the laughter of the sun
We're quicker than the thickets
Twice as intertwined
then.....
We're just homemade ice cream
To the waves
As she spins her salty slurry
rounding you and me
You're the coolest thing
My tongue has ever tolled
Together we will cling
Be brazen or just bold
