Dream 3 Poem by Ben Gieske

Dream 3

Rating: 3.0

Some dreams are sparks springing from a fire
alluring thoughts waiting to inspire
heavy with promise of joyful adventuring
pregnant from seeds of evolving remembering

Some dreams like shells imbedded by the sea
to be or not to be is yet to see
hallow shells all echoing the ocean
shadows cast their turbulent commotions
waiting responses from such as you and me
whirling awash with wishes from the invasive sea

pictures inspiring, sensations galore,
feelings surrounding impressions of yore
promising, tensing with possibilities
gestating, yearning for new realities

cherished and held dear
nourished with no fear
reshaped in clay and time
true treasures to be mined

its timely birth yet to come
still not for all but for some
to live as long as any that feeds its need
baptized anew its future eternity

not yet but many years hence
with a past and future tense
volcanic eruptions of our inner beings
the future projections of our vivid memories
