Dream Heart Poem by Leinad Zerimar

Dreams are very important to a man.
The dreams that he has while awake
Are the most important and influential.
But, when he dreams about someone while asleep,
As if they were the only light in his surrounding darkness,
That makes the person special.

The largest reason why I do not fear for the future is that,
Unlike with anyone else
And unlike any other point in my life,
I can say that, at least for a while,
I was able to live out my dreams,
By being with you.
That makes them real.


You make my dreams live,
Because in the time we have known each other,
You have shown me more:
Love
Compassion
Gentleness
Respect
Understanding
And have given me more joy and grace
Than any other person on Earth.


Dreams are what keep a man alive.
And, though we may not be together,
I will go on living in joy,
Solely because I know that my dreams are a living, breathing entity,
And that, at least for a while,
They came true.
